Bye, Bye Acne Routine! Best Products for Acne-Prone Skin

Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful day!

Today, I wanted to share with all of you my updated skincare routine. It’s safe to say that the products I’m about to show you have made major changes to my skin. My pores are less visible, I have less acne, and my acne scars are slowly disappearing. And guess what? Most of these are quite inexpensive, so they fit in any budget!

Now, before we get started I do want to mention that not all these products will work for everyone as all our skins are unique. However, I hope this leads you on the right track to selecting products that are right for your skin.

Let me know down in the comments what are some of your favorite skincare products!

Without further ado, let’s get started!

First off, there are a lot of outside and mental factors that affect my skin and yours as well. Emotions, work, weather, and diet all affect our skin. It’s important to try to take control of some of the negative things in our lives and make little steps to better them. For me, I make sure to eat everything in moderation, drink a lot of water, and de-stress by reading or watching calming videos on Youtube. Not only will this help you physically, but it will also heal and rejuvenate you mentally.

My Skincare Routine:

#1) Cleansers

For cleansers, I have two primary ones that I love!! The first one is what I use in the morning, the “Biore Daily Acne Charcoal Cleanser.”Charcoal is such a popular and essential ingredient to be in your routine as it helps de-clog pores and reduce redness. This cleanser makes your face feel fresh and cold, the perfect remedy for removing any sleepiness left when waking up.

For nighttime, I enjoy using the L’Occitane “Perfecting Purifying Foam Cleanser.” Perfect for people with more sensitive and delicate skin, this cleanser will help get rid of impurities such as dirt that has accumulated on our skin. It smells like a garden full of roses and gives my skin the extra push it needs to stay fresh and clean.

#2) Exfoliators

If you have acne-prone skin, you need really good exfoliators in your life. The moment I began to exfoliate every two days, I saw an instant clearance in my skin. Some of my favorite exfoliators are from the Biore collection and from Fresh. However, I recently purchased a staple in my skincare collection.

One of my new favorite exfoliators is the Clarisonic Mia 2. Oh. My Goodness. I absolutely love this brush and how well it exfoliates my skin. Using this product with a cleanser quickly removes any acne wanting to grow and has also diminished some of my unwanted acne scars. It has also cleaned out a lot of my pores. This is quite an expensive product, but I think its worth every penny.

#3) Toners

There is only one toner that I used and I swear by it. This is the Clinique Clarifying Lotion Acne Solution Toner. This isn’t harsh on your skin and is perfecting to use on the days where you feel too tired to do a full skincare routine. When using this product with a cotton pad, you can actually see the dirt it has removed from the top layer of your skin. This toner keeps my acne in check and helps with redness.

#4) Serums

I like to use serums on days where I feel like my skin needs more rejuvenation aka when I’m on my menstrual cycle. On weeks where I’m breaking out, I like the use the Ordinary Ampoules. These do magic on my skin as they help to dry my pimples up and give my skin a speedy recovery to looking great again.

#5) Face Masks

I like to use face masks as much as possible. They’re great for emergencies like sudden redness or a sudden pimple. I really love a company called FaceTory as they send out inexpensive monthly subscription boxes full of Korean sheet masks. They’re fun, help you relax after long days, and can make instant changes to imperfections.

#6) Moisturizers

Finding a moisturizer as a person with oily skin can be difficult as many are overhydrating and full of oils. That’s why it’s important to pick up oil-less, light moisturizers. One of my favorites at the moment is the Citrus- Honey Aqua Glow moisturizer by Peace Slices. It’s very lightweight but still feels extremely moisturizing. This will give you such a pretty, natural glow. In addition, it has so many natural ingredients that are great for soothing and healing the skin!

Well everyone, that’s it for today’s post. I hope you all enjoyed and found some beauty products you’re interested in. Remember to leave me a comment about your favorite skin care product to use and some tips on how you deal with your acne.

Remember that no matter how much or how little you have acne, that does not equal your worth. We are all beautiful and there are so much more important things in our lives then little red dots spots

Have a great day/night everyone!

You absolute legend – my skin is breaking out so badly right now (literally not a clue why) so any good skincare recommendations are always welcome. I swear by The Ordinary – their Nianci-however you spell it (you’ve got it photographed) is FAB and if your pair it with their retinol too . . . absolute game changer! xx
